Mari Cleveland is originally from Guam and moved to the U.S. at age 17. She attended Vanderbilt University and came to Atlanta in 1986 for her first job in sales with Procter & Gamble, the same year that she started attending Christ the King where she was a parishioner for 16 years.
Mari and her husband, George currently live in Sandy Springs with their daughter, Lilly (17). Their son John (19) is a freshman at GCSU, in Milledgeville. The Clevelands are parishioners at Saint Jude the Apostle and have been active in various ministries including: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, PSR, CRHP, St. Vincent de Paul, Amigos for Christ mission to Nicaragua, and Ministry to the Sick and Elderly. Lilly attends Blessed Trinity Catholic High School where Mari leads a weekly mom’s Bible study.
Mari is a former human resources director and training manager and currently works part-time as a consultant for a global training company where she has provided leadership training to over 10,000 leaders of Fortune 500 companies.
Mari enjoys running facilitation seminars and giving talks for parishes across the archdiocese and has served as a Stephen Minister, Women’s Retreat leader, Bible Study leader and Spiritual Director for a Christ Renews His Parish team. She was Saint Jude the Apostle’s 2017 Woman of the Year and most recently served as their Stewardship Council Co-Chair and Alpha program leader. Mari is thankful for every opportunity to talk about God and His love for us.
