Mary Ann McNeil
Mary Ann McNeil is the founder of PATH, Inc. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Loyola University in New Orleans in 1977 and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia in 1982. Shortly after receiving her degree, she noticed that there existed a great unmet need in the lives of women who were suffering emotionally following an abortion experience. This unmet need served as the catalyst for the formation of a ministry to serve an emerging population. With the help of a few dedicated individuals, who served on PATH’s first board of Directors, Mary Ann founded PATH in 1996 and obtained non profit status for PATH in 1999. Since that time, PATH has served hundreds of women and increasingly men, with the help of a small army of dedicated volunteers. Mary Ann has been married for 40 years and is the proud mother of four children. She currently is enjoying her 6 grandchildren , volunteer work at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, and serving on PATH's board.
